Court Remands Nigerian Police Inspector In Prison For Killing Phone Seller Over N100 Bribe

Dismissed Nigerian Police Inspector, Ebri Ubi, who killed a man identified as Onyeka Ibe for refusing to give a bribe of N100 in Delta State, has been remanded in prison custody.

Ubi was arraigned on Wednesday morning in a suit file marked 19/4/2023 before an Asaba Magistrate Court on remand proceedings for the murder of Onyeka Ibe.

The court ordered that the suspect be remanded at the Ogwashi-Uku correctional center while the case file be sent to the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) for legal advice and prosecution of the suspect by the office of the DPP
