Life with Christ is an endless hope; life without Christ is a hopeless end.
He that is mastered by Christ is the master of many circumstances.
Peace rules the day when Christ rules the soul.
Growth is desired in every stage of human endeavour because it symbolizes progress and self-fulfillment. Every family wants their children to grow. So does the farmer who wants his or her crops to experience growth. Businessman and businesswoman wants his or her business to experience a phenomenal growth. The students, the workers in the office and traders in the market place all desires growth. Progress in life is determined by growth.
WHAT IS GROWTH?
Growth means development, enlargement and multiplication.
Growth is also increase in value and substance.
Life will be static, retrogressive, demeaning and useless without growth.
The Almighty God is the Author of growth. As we can see in the creative process (Genesis 1:28). Our Lord Jesus also taught us also a lesson of growth in the New Testament (Matthew 13:31-32).
Sickness retards growth in animals and plants. It is health that brings about growth. Healthful living is only achievable when sicknesses have been uprooted from its source.
Sin defiles, corrupts and it is hazardous towards healthful Christian living (Isaiah 1:6-8). Spiritual sickness can be removed only when cleansing takes place in our lives (Isaiah 1:16-18).
Acknowledgement of spiritual defilement before God and the consequent self-purging brings about spiritual healing from God (Isaiah 55:6-7).Confessing our sins and getting purged from it prepares the ground for growth (2 Peter 3:18).
- THE NEED FOR CLEANSING (Hebrews 1:13 / Romans 3:23 / Ezekiel 18:4 / Romans 6:23)
Fellowship with God is impossible without cleansing from sin. Failure to cleanse self, separates one from both temporal and eternal blessings (Isaiah 59:1-2 / 1 Corinthians 6:9-10).
God hates sin and sin attracts God’s judgment when it is not purged (Revelation 21:8 / Joshua 7:1, 5).
A backslidden individual or church needs spiritual cleansing, as God will not use a corrupt instrument to accomplish His purpose (Isaiah 52:11).
In a congregation where sin is covered and cherished, the Holy Spirit will be grieved and the fire of revival will be quenched. The result is that backsliding will be a common feature and souls would not be won to the Lord.
To be continued.
Remain blessed and rapturable,
Yours to reach this generation with the Gospel,
