Former Senate President, Distinguished Senator Anyim Pius Anyim has been confered with the highest award in Ebonyi State by Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru.
9News Nigeria reports that Senator received Ebonyi State Hall of Fame – GREAT GRAND COMMANDER OF EBONYI HALL OF FAME (GGCEHF) during the 2024 anniversary of the inauguration of Mr. Francis Nwaifuru as the Governor of Ebonyi.
During the banquet, the Governor conferred on six leaders of the State with the honours of Ebonyi Hall of Fame as follows:
- Senator Anyim Pius Anyim -GGCEHF
- Senator Dr. Sam Ominyi Egwu -GGCEHF
- Senator Chris Nwankwo -GCEHF
- Late Senator Andrew Nwankwo (posthumous)-CEHF
- Late Chief Benson Egede (posthumous)-CEHF
- HRH Eze Okparaechero (Spera-in-deo)-CEHF. Speaking after the award, Senator Anyim said he is delighted to receive the honour.
According to him, “I am delighted to use this medium to convey my deepest appreciation to His Excellency Governor Nwaifuru for the honour of conferring on me the highest honour of Ebonyi State Hall of Fame – GREAT GRAND COMMANDER OF EBONYI HALL OF FAME (GGCEHF).”
