It was a shocking moment in Plateau community as the Sacrificial ram of the Chief Imam of Mista Ali, a community in Bassa Local Government Areas of Plateau State, Imam Abdulkadir has been stolen.
The ram was stolen on the eve of of the Eid-el-Kabir, during a heavy down pour in the area on Saturday night.
AƧcording to Mallam Haruna Yaqub, an Imam in the community, who disclosed this during the sermon, shortly after the two Raka’at Prayers, condemned the incident, describing it as insensitive.
“The ram of our Chief Imam, which he purposely bought to sacrifice, has been stolen in the night. We are really shocked by the incident.
“We were surprised to hear this story. This means that people are not God’s fearing. It is scaring that people have gone to the extent of stealing ram meant for religious activity”, Yaqub said.
Yaqub however called on the people to be God-fearing and never engaged in either stealing or any act of criminality, emphasizing that everyone will account for their actions in the here and hereafter.
He said, “It is high time for people to repent and take the part of Allah. It is not too late. People should stop committing bad things and act aƧcording to Allah’s commandments.
