Veteran Nigerian actress, Shaffy Bello has revealed what music video director, TG Omori went through as a result of the transplant.
According to Bello, the unsuccessful surgery had nothing to do with medical incompetence.
In a post via her official X handle, she explained that his body rejected the donated kidney.
“Do you know what failed transplant meant, the transplant was successful, but his body rejected the transplanted organ, this has absolutely nothing to do with medical incompetence, it’s the way his body reacted to the transplanted kidney..” Bello wrote.
This post follows TG Omori’s recent disclosure that the kidney transplant surgery was unsuccessful.
9News reports that a kidney transplant surgery is the organ transplant of a kidney into a patient with kidney disease. In 2018, an estimated 95,479 kidney transplants were performed worldwide.
