Arising from a fruitful meeting with the Students’ Union Government, SUG leadership, the management of the University of Jos has scrapped its proposed school fees increment for returning students.
In a statement jointly signed by the SUG President, Sambo Peter and Speaker Joshua Uguwmba, the meeting had in attendance, the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Professor Tanko Ishaya, the Deputy Dean and other topmanagement staff.
The SUG leadership therefore urges all returning students to refrain from making any payments until the dashboard reflects the exact school charges.
The Student body also appreciates the thoughtfulness of management during the period of discussions that ensured a successful ending.
However, as at the time of filing this report, efforts to get the reactions of the Dean of students Affairs, Registrar, Abdullahi Abdullahi were unsuccessful.
