EFCC says 50 persons convicted for currency racketeering, dollarization in 2024

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC is saying that it has convicted over 50 persons for currency racketeering and dollarization of the Nigerian economy in 2024.

The EFCC’s Chairman, Ola Olukoyade made the revelation in Abuja, while the Senate Committee Chairman on Anti-Corruption and Financial Crimes, Senator Emmanuel Udendeon was on an oversight and pre-budget presentation visit with other members of the Committee to the Corporate Headquarters of the EFCC.

Olu Olukoyade described currency racketeering and dollarization as an act of economic sabotage.
