The country’s Nollywood industry remains a dominant force in the continent’s entertainment scene, with its output surpassing that of its closest competitor, Ghana, by more than fourfold.
The report highlights Ghana as the second-largest movie producer in Africa, with 600 films produced yearly, followed by Kenya and Tanzania, each producing 500 films annually.
Uganda takes the fifth spot, contributing 200 movies per year to the continent’s burgeoning film industry.
