
The House of Representatives has passed the N1. 78 trillion 2025 appropriation Bill for the Federal Territory for the second reading.
The Bill, which was presented by House Leader Professor Julius Ihonvbere, allocates N150.35 billion for personal costs, N343.77 billion for overhead costs, and N1. 28 trillion for capital projects.
The proposed legislation was referred to the House Committee on Federal Capital Territory and FCT Area Councils/Ancillary Matters for further legislative action.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had submitted the proposed budget to the House on May 6, 2025, noting that it would focus on key sectors such as healthcare, job creation, and infrastructure development.
