IMO: A yet-to-be identified big man was swiftly abducted in the premises of Ebere links filling station Egbu road Owerri Imo State while trying to fuel his Mercedes car.
The incident happened at about 21:05 hrs on Wednesday amidst light rain showers as 9News Nigeria reports.
Speaking to the press, eye witnesses told 9News that sporadic gunshots attracted huge public attention at the time of incident on Wednesday night.
A well armed young boys in a small Corolla Car droved into Ebere Links Filling Station Egbu Road at about 9:05 pm Wednesday and Kidnapped a big man in his Mercedes 4 Matic Jeep.
Eventually the suspected abductors zoomed off abandoning the Mercedes Jeep in the Filling Station, this has become a recurrent sad event in the said Filling Station since a couple of Months now, most especially in the night hours.
The young boys in a small Corolla Car droved into Ebere Links Filling Station Egbu Road well armed and Kidnapped a man in his Mercedes Jeep and zoomed off abandoning the Mercedes Jeep in the Filling Station, till the time of filling this report by 9News Nigeria.
This ugly trend has been repeating itself in this filling station most especially as from 9pm as gathered.
Yes, it was when we started hearing sporadic shutting in air that we became apprehensive of what was going on Inspite the fact that Ebere links filling station have two 2 Armed Mobile Police Men stationed there in the nights.
However, the foremost owner of the Filling Station is Chief Ebere Philip Chukwu of Ogbe Ahiazu Mbaise before he sold it to Ebere Links.
Before you get to that sharp bend, Ebere links is situate by the left side if you are coming from Owerri, you pass the Shoprite on your right, the NEPA Substation by your left, then Jehovah Jireh Anglican Church and Ebere Links Filling Station in your left before you get to Christiana Junction, investigation reveals.
At press time, the management of the filling station has confirmed the incident and alerted the police command for immediate investigation as 9News Nigeria reports.
