The movement of Peter Obi from African Democratic Congress (ADC) to Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has created a very wide vacuum in the Coalition.
And considering the large followers in Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso train, the Coalition has been largely defaced as the promoter of the Kwankwasiyya movement moved to NDC with Obi.
But as the Hallmark of all elections rests on majority, the African Democratic Congress ADC has quickly found a substitute of Obi and Kwankwaso in former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
If available information making the rounds is anything to rely on, the rumoured shopping of Jonathan to draft him into ADC will strengthen and reinforce the feeble legs this party.
As it stands today, ADC has been found to be a political party with over 70% northern interest.
And as the NDC and the All Progressive Congress (APC) have zoned their presidential slots to the South, ADC want to do same by shopping for a credible southerner who can only do one term, and they have found Jonathan most suitable for the job.
Jonathan is a stabilizer, he has no baggage, and if Atiku could be patient for just four years and allows Jonathan to run for one term, he will be effortlessly elected in 2031 when power will move naturally to the North.
Jonathan is naturally loved in the North and he may not have to dissipate no much energy to have majority of votes in the 19 northern state.
And if Jonathan consent to the deal, the entire political atmosphere will change overnight and it will become one of the biggest game changers for ADC.
Moreover if Jonathan agrees to run on the ADC platform, all other Presidential candidates of Southern Nigeria extraction will have their votes fragmented
The coming of Goodluck Ebele Jonathan into the 2027 presidential election, if properly negotiated by ADC will send all other aspirants back to the drawing board.
