Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has extended the deadline for candidates with outstanding admission offers from 2021 to date to either accept or reject the offers.
The new deadline is Wednesday, September 30, 2026, replacing the earlier deadline of August 31. JAMB said the extension is a final opportunity for affected candidate, including those with regular or Condonement of Undisclosed Illegal Institutional Admissions, (CUIIA), admission offers who have not yet accepted or rejected.
JAMB advised all affected candidates to act immediately and not wait until the deadline, warning that failure to take action within the stipulated period will have consequences for their admission status.
“Candidates who accept their offers will be able to proceed to print and obtain their admission letters”, It added.
JAMB warned that any outstanding admission offer that remains neither accepted nor rejected after September 30 will automatically revert to “Not Admitted” on its records.
For the candidates who are no longer in the institution where the previous admission was offered, or who are now in a different programme, JAMB said they may accept the outstanding admission and subsequently apply for the appropriate correction or deletion.
The Board said this would enable it to appropriately update the candidate’s admission status and records.
