Muhammad Murtala Musa D Provost has rejected his inclusion in the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2027 presidential campaign committee.
Musa’s name appeared on the party’s list as a member of the New Media Committee, led by Dada Olusegun, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on New Media.
In a statement dated September 7, 2026, Musa said he was surprised to see his name on the published list.
He categorically rejected the appointment, saying he did not accept the role.
Musa said he would instead support any presidential candidate who promises to restore the petrol subsidy if elected in 2027.
He added that he could even support President Tinubu if the President makes such a commitment.
According to Musa, he would not spend his energy defending politicians he believes are responsible for the hardship facing Nigerians.
“I am not among the citizens [who] defend the people who created their suffering,” he said.
His rejection comes as political parties intensify preparations for the 2027 general elections, with campaigns, alliances and political realignments expected to gather momentum.
