Africa’s richest man and President of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, joined other prominent Africans and global stakeholders at an Africa Diaspora Session held in New York on the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General Assembly.

The event, hosted by the Dangote Group at Africa House, brought together business leaders, government representatives, entertainers and other influential figures to discuss Africa’s development and the role of its diaspora.

Dangote used the gathering to emphasise the importance of strengthening ties between Africans on the continent and those living abroad, particularly in areas of investment, economic development and knowledge exchange.

Nigerian music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, was also among those in attendance, alongside stakeholders from Nigeria’s petroleum industry, business community and government.

The session provided a platform for participants to exchange ideas on how Africans in the diaspora can remain connected to the continent while contributing to its economic growth.
