The Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari, has died of Corona Virus.
Mr Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, confirmed this in a tweet early Saturday morning.
Another top official of the President, Mallam Garba Shehu also made this known on his Twitter handle early Saturday morning.
“The Presidency regrets to announce the passage of the Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari. The deceased had tested positive to the ravaging COVID-19, and had been receiving treatment. But he died on Friday, April 17, 2020.
May God accept his soul. Funeral arrangements will be announced shortly.
Mr Abba Kyari had tested positive for COVID-19 on 24th March, after he returned from a trip to Germany.
