Abia Police Kill Six Suspected Kidnappers, Rescue Four Victims In Daring Operation

The Abia State Police Command has successfully rescued four kidnappers victims and neutralized six suspected kidnappers in a high-stakes operation in Osokwa, Isisioma Ngwa Local Government Area of Abia State.

The victims – Omwuka Chimela, Onwuka Emeh Chinaza, Ikem Sinachi Ukandu, and Ibiam Kingsley – were abducted on March 9, 2025 while driving along New Umuahia Road, Obingwa.

Acting in credible intelligence, a tactical police team tracked the gang’s hideout to a three bedroom bungalow where the victims were held for five days.

Upon arrival on March 14, officers faced heavy gunfire but overpowered the criminals killing six and rescuing the victims unhurt.

Recovered from the scene were 2 AK-47 rifles, six magazine, and 34 rounds of ammunition.

Commissioner of Police CP. Danladi Isa, urged residents to report individuals with gunshot wounds and assured that efforts are ongoing to capture the fleeing suspects.

He reiterated the command’s commitment to eradicating crime in the state.
