A group known as Abubor Concerned Citizens on Friday the 30th of July joined the family of late Simon Okedo who died at the age of 107 to bid him farewell to the great beyond.
The Abubor Concerned Citizens who joined the Okedo’s Family unbehalf of Chief Rotarian Sunny Okedo (Dike Eji Eje MBA) a member of the group, the Elected President of Abubor community and the second son of late PA Simon Okedo during the condolence visit said late Pa Simon Okedo lived an exemplary life that should be emulated by each and every one still alive today.
In a statement delivered by the Chairman of the group Chief James Ajene to 9news Nigeria Said that Abubor Concerned Citizens is a group created for the people of
Abubor community for the purpose of discussing issues that concerned the progress and long time plan of the people.
While at the condolence visit proper the spokesperson Chief Francis Ajene said that the group is one that always identify with it’s members during the time of celebration and the time of mourning and this is one of such outings and that is why we are here to stand in solidarity with Chief Sunny Okedo and family.
He concluded by praying ernestly for long life and prosperity as enjoyed by late Pa Simon to each and every one present at this burial ceremony.
Also present at the burial ceremony was his Royal Highness Igwe KON Orizu the Igwe Nnewi, Obi Nnewichi, Obi of Odida, Former president Nzukora Nnewi Chief Ugochukwu Udemezue, former PG Nnewichi Hon CY Okolo, the present PG Nzuko Agamniru Elder Soge Egbuna, The Rotary Club of Awka GRA, The BOT Nzuko Agamniru Nnewichi, The Abubor Progressive Union, Igwe of Neni, Igwe of Uke and many other traditional rulers.
