OPEN LETTER TO THE COALITION IN ADC
MISTAKES THE COALITION SHOULDN’T MAKE NOW
“The shortest calendar for the living is the political calendar. All its days could be for tearing and obsequies if managed by the likes of Nigeria APC which takes pleasure in extending gravesites in States instead of throwing lifelines to rescue over 80% of its drowning population”.
The above were parts of my remarks when some African Democratic Congress (ADC) youths came asking to help them understand the puzzle put before them by the Supreme Court ruling of Thursday 30th April 2026.
Then, by a way of appeal, I graciously place a demand that all pillars brought by the coalitions to strengthen ADC be uninstalled just immediately and members moved out to reinforce the nerves and limbs of any other INEC-recognised, trusted and safer political party
to restrain the cancerous and grave digging policies of the All Progressive Congress APC from further administering funerals in Nigeria instead of people-centric governance.
To this end, I kindly plead with former Nigeria Vice President Atiku Abubakar GCON, former Senate President David Alechenu Bonaventure Mark, former Governor of Osun State HE. Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola,
former Labour Party presidential candidate HE Peter Gregory Obi, former presidential candidate of New Nigeria People’s Party, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the Senator representing Sokoto South, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, the former minister of transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, the former Senator representing Kogi West Barr. Daniel Dino Melaye, others to walk away from ADC to circumvent the booby trap set up by APC through a judicial process that will never end.
The effects of the coalition is seen and felt even by the blinds, reasons the APC is restless and it is continually losing its sleep.
If the coalition gets divided and starts going different ways, its effect and strength will be weakened and its results will be small.
We all know that there can only be one President and Commander in Chief of Nigeria armed forces at a time, for this reasons, I kindly appeal that we perish our respective personal interests and sponsor one candidate who will be accepted by majority at the poll.
The old natural maxim which says: “United we stand, divided we fall” should be adhered to, to sustain the already existing effect of the coalition which is a serious threat to the ruling APC.
The coalition if fragmented today, will lose in all elective positions in the forthcoming 2027 general elections. To this effect the leadership of the coalition should remain united in the search of a credible political party where all of us can move as one family into it with our supporters nationwide.
In the midterm assessment of mobilization of supporters following the coalitions, the effects of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Kwankwasiyya movement has already swept the whole North into the harvest basket of followers.
Peter Obi, the image and conscience of the ‘Obidient Family’ is an organic dragnet that has already pulled over 70% of Nigeria youths to his rank.
Atiku Abubakar is the coalition strategist whose name alone in the 2027-joint-project gives the ruling APC sleepless nights. His legions of supporters across all geopolitical zones of the country makes the coming together of the opposition a threat to President Bola Hamed Tinubu led political party.
The coalition is built with names such as Senator David Mark, HE. Nasir El-rufai, HE. Rotimi Amaechi, HE Rauf Aregbesola, Aminu Tambuwal, Abubakar Malami SAN, and others whose political chest are repellent walls resisting all bullets fired by APC to collapse this structure which all Nigerians who are survivors of the APC anti-people administration depend on. This is why the coalition must remain United.
In 2014, Tinubu mobilized Nigerian against Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and that revolution gave Muhammadu Buhari 58% of votes in the 19 Northern states. And as it stands, Tinubu has lost the whole North. As the coalition has already locked up the North against APC, it should be maintained by a united opposition. The 2015 presidential election outcome is about to repeat itself, and that is why the ruling party is restless.
In Nigeria today the 19 Northern states constitute 52% votes while the South is 48%.
If not for the fact that, to be declared the winner of a presidential election in Nigeria, a candidate must score the highest number of votes and obtain at least 25% of the votes cast in at least 24 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the North may not need the South to win a presidential election.
In 2023, Tinubu lost in Lagos and in Abuja. So let the opposition remains a united front in 2027 to let this happened again.
Looking at why the opposition lost in 2023 presidential election is the main purpose to come together as one front to dislodge the APC
In 2023, Tinubu won Atiku Abubakar with 1,810,206. The former score 8,794,726 and the latter 6,984,520.
Peter Obi scored 6,101,533 and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso scored 1,496,687.
If one puts all of the opposition votes together it will amount to 14,582,740.
That is what members of the coalition means for themselves and they will not have anything less than 14,582,740 votes in the forthcoming presidential election of January 16, 2027.
Nigerians are been killed in hundreds almost on daily basis, surviving families live in fear. Hunger, high cost of living has remained unabated since May 29, 2023. Loss of business due to daily increasing tax, elastic unemployment rate, no electricity, high cost of rents, unaffordable school fees and foodstuffs are what the APC governments are administering in all states. Nigerians can no longer travel from one point to another by road, air and by sea because of high cost of transport fare. Healthcare is no more affordable and that leads to the deaths of hundreds of loved ones daily in the country. This is why the masses are infuriated and they are ready to show Tinubu the exit at the poll.
With all the above injuries sustained by over 80% the country population, Nigerians will be extremely shocked if the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announces Tinubu as the the winner of the 2027 Presidential election and INEC may find it very impossible to explain if it tries it.
On the whole, the trending media reports alleging that Nafiu Bala Gombe and his co-travellers are regretting their act and are ready to apologize and withdraw from all litigations, should not be taken serious. Any offers from Nafiu Bala and his syndicate is the APC poisoned carrot and a booby trap. Do not take nor go anywhere near it. Walk away from the ADC forthwith, remain united and transfer same energy into another credible political party.
God bless Nigeria!
God bless the Coalition!!
