Former deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Kingsley Moghalu has stated that Africa is badly governed.
He stated this via his X handle on Tuesday 25, September 2024.
According to Moghalu, the sole reason behind Africa’s poverty is bad governance, stressing that any other “reason” is just an “excuse”.
“Africa is poor because it is, broadly and with very few exceptions amongst its 55 countries, badly governed. Any other “reason” is just an excuse.” He said.
He also highlighted that this misfortune, with a few exceptions like the nations of Rwanda, Botswana and Mauritius can be found amongst the other countries within the continent.
