Governor Hope Uzodinma has continued to appreciate the good works of God on Imo state having restored absolute peace and tranquility needed in the state.
The governor made this statement while praising God at a praise night prayer summit organized by Christian Association of Nigeria CAN, Imo state CHAPTER.
9News Nigeria reports that the event was a soul rendering praise night where creme de la creme of Christian faithful and Government functionaries were present to celebrate God for restoring peace in the state.
Uzodinma however acknowledged that he was not the richest man in Imo State but has come as a governor of Imo state to improve the state to a worldclass status.
He futher pointed out that he has become a governor to create an atmosphere that would make the world see the heritage in Imo State”.
Addressing the mammoth crowd that gathered at Heroes Square Owerri, Gov. Hope Uzodimma stated that during the security situation in the State he cried to God to heal the land and preached peace because the only way development can come is when there is an enabling peaceful environment.
There is no doubt peace and progress are restored and the eyes can testify the good Governance in Imo state by the APC Government of Hope Uzodinma.
In his words, “I want to thank my brothers and sisters who have joined us to pray, who have joined the resilient, since this contrived security situation in our State I have always preached peace because the only way we can develop the State is if we have the enabling environment, and no environment would be enabling if there is no peace”. He opined.
Earlier in his address National President of CAN Rev. Supo Ayokunle, said that the coming of Gov. Hope Uzodimma is divine in Imo State, stressed that he will never be subdued because God Almighty ordained him to lead Imolites.
The Governor thanked all the Clergymen and Imolites who came out to praise and worship God for all the things He has done for the State, while reiterating that his Administration will leave impactful footprints in Imo State.
The one-day prayer event was tagged “Imo Prays” themed “In such a time as this!”
Celebrated Nigerian gospel singers like Chioma Jesus, Mercy Chinwo, Felix Ndukwe, and others were on ground to thrill mammoth crowd of Imolites who gathered to dance for the return of peace in the State.
