BY PRINCELY ONYENWE, IMO

A chronic cancer patient who hails from Ehime Mbano local government area has got to 9News Nigeria news desk from her relatives who called on us from Jos, the PLATEAU state capital.

This is as a result of our news published few days ago promoting the good works of an Imo based NGO, GOODHOPE FLOURISH FOUNDATION GHFF in partnership with Imo state government to save the less previleged and the souls of the Imolites in such a critical condition like this.

GHFF is more or less a pet project of Her Excellency, the wife of Imo state governor who in her kindness used this foundation to save lives.

Recently, 9News Nigeria reported Imo Governor’s wife benevolence to the widows of Imo state in which one mrs IFENYINWA OKECHI from Ihite- Ukwa ORSU LGA and Miss Blessing Amarachi, a first class graduate of English language from Covenant University Umunakwe from Ihiagwa OWERRI WEST are living beneficiaries.

There is no doubt, GHFF is in liason with the Ministry of Women Affairs and Vulnerable Groups (MWAVG) and it’s Director general DG HUMPHREY IKEAKA is in total readiness to assisting the plights of the vulnerables in the state.

It is worthy of note the two lawmakers representing the Cancer patients at the Senate, Senator Frank Ibezim, National ASSEMBLY member, Honourable DEACON Chike Okafor, IMC of Ehime Mbano LGA, and the Honourable member representing Ehime Mbano LGA state Constutuency in IMHA to consider this responsibility as one among other pressing matters arrising to save mrs MARGRET ANYANWU from chronic Cancer.

When contacted, Prince Mike Akubueze, the President of Asaigbo Cancer Care Initiative Nigeria told us that his NGO was managing the patience through the UNTH JOS until the ran out of funds.

According to Mike Akubueze, “After Jos University Teaching Hospital brought the cancer patients to us, we embarked on confirmation visitation to her abode in Rukaba Road Jos where we interviewed her by her family’s consent, video her and took some photographs with her so that the public will understand how serious her case is.Mrs Margret need 3.5 Million Naira or more to treat this deadly cancer”

We went deep to confirm that the patient, Mrs Margret Anyanwu is residing in Jos having issues of breast cancer since year 2018.

However Mrs Margret and her family have no money to treat the cancer hence she is at home instead of hospital where she is dying slowly.

Her husband has sold all his Properties while her three children have stopped attending school, the family source revealed.
