Acting Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Caroline Wura-Ola Adepoju has announced a state of emergency on Passport matters in the country.
Adepoju stated this during a working visit to Lagos, emphasizing the urgent need to address challenges faced by Nigerians in obtaining Passports.
In a statement signed by Tony Akuneme, Comptroller of Immigration in charge of Media and Publicity, the Ag. CGI has developed a comprehensive plan of action to tackle these issues effectively.
The Nigeria Immigration boss earlier directed all Passport Control Officers, relevant units, and personnel within the Nigeria Immigration Service including foreign missions, to work tirelessly towards eliminating all hindrances preventing Nigerians from accessing Passports promptly.
