Nigerian Businessman, Aka Udofia has promised to offer the Super Eagles $20,000 for each goal scored in today’s 2018 FIFA World Cup second leg qualifying game against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.
In a statement by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the Akwa Ibom state business man made the promise as he briefly greeted the players and officials inside their chartered ARIK Bombadier CRJ 1000 aircraft just before take-off at the Ibom International Airport, Uyo on Sunday afternoon.
Mr Udofia, who is the Chief Executive Officer of Desicorn Company, told the Super Eagles:
“I am a very good friend of the Nigeria Football Federation president, Amaju Pinnick, and I am happy that I am here in time to see you guys before take-off for Yaounde,”
“I watched the game against the Cameroonians on Friday and I am sure you have the ability to conquer them again in their own territory. I promise to reward you with $20,000 for every goal scored in Yaounde.”
Nigeria play Cameroon today in Yaounde in the 2018 FIFA World Cup Africa qualifying race with five points clear of second-placed rival Zambia and seven points ahead of third-placed Cameroon.
