The Akwa Ibom State Government has announced the commencement of payment of the one-time ₦50,000 transport allowance to applicants who participated in the recently concluded Civil Service Recruitment Computer-Based Test (CBT).
The payment follows an earlier directive by the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, to support all applicants who took part in the CBT examination with a transport allowance.
The process, which is being managed by the Ministry of Science and Digital Economy, involves direct payment into the bank accounts earlier provided by applicants on the Akwa Ibom State Employment Portal. Applicants have been advised not to submit new bank details and to disregard any unofficial requests for personal or banking information.
In keeping with the Governor’s commitment to transparency and accountability, applicants and members of the public can track payment progress in real time via the Akwa Ibom State Employment Portal. The portal displays live statistics reflecting payments processed as at 11:30 p.m. on 2 January 2026, with figures subject to updates as payments continue in batches.
Applicants can log into their portal accounts to view payment confirmation, check payment status in real time, and download an official payment receipt under the “Payments” section once payment has been completed.
Beneficiaries who are yet to receive payment are advised to exercise patience until Wednesday, 7 January 2026, as payment processing is ongoing. Thereafter, enquiries should be made strictly through the official support channels provided by the Ministry of Science and Digital Economy.
Enquiries can be directed to [email protected] or via the official helpline on 0201 229 1111. Applicants are strongly encouraged to use only these approved channels for all payment-related enquiries.
The Akwa Ibom State Government reaffirms its commitment to transparency, accountability, and the effective deployment of digital platforms in delivering public services, in line with the ARISE Agenda.
