Akwa Ibom State Govt takes delivery of COVID-19 vaccine

Akwa Ibom State Government, today took delivery of 69,030 doses of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine from the Federal Government of Nigeria.

In a Press Statement signed by the State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Comrade Ini Ememobong, the State Government assured citizens of the safe preservation of the vaccine and announced that frontline health workers would be the first to receive the vaccine.
The Akwa Ibom State consignment which came on board of Allied Air Cargo aircraft was received at Victor Attah International Airport, Uyo by the State Commissioner for Health Prof. Augustine Vincent Umoh
