45 communities in three local government areas of Anambra State, at the weekend, endorsed the return of governorship candidate to Anambra South Senatorial zone.
The candidate, they said, will come from Old Aguata Union as according to them, Gov Willie Obiano has failed to meet their expectation.
The council areas: Orumba North, South, and Aguata operating under the aegis of Old Aguata People’s Union (OAU), said that they were aggrieved that despite their invaluable contribution to the development of the state, they have been schemed out of the state’s affair and developmental programmes.
They group disclosed this at the interdenominational thanksgiving service held at Neros Sports Stadium, Nanka, Orumba North under the chairmanship of the President Ohanaeze Ndi-Igbo in Anambra, Chief Damian Okeke-Ogene.
To this end, they endorsed the aspiration of Mr Godwin Ezeemo who hails from Umuchu in Aguata Council Area, a member of the Old Aguata Union block.
Chief Clement Onyemaobi from Aguata and Chief Emile Vincent from Orumba North moved the motion for endorsement of Ezeemo as their candidate for the 2017 Governorship Election.
