The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested three suspected vote buyers during the Saturday’s governorship election in Anambra State.
The anti graft-agency identified the the arrested suspects as Emeka Ilokasia, Lovetta Nwachukwu and Chukwudi Emuka.
It stated that while Mr. Ilokasia was arrested at Ward 2, Njikoka Local Government Area,. Ms. Nwachukwu was picked up at Polling Unit 008, Ward 2, Awkuzu, Oyi Local Government Area, and Mr. Emuku was arrested at Umunachi village, Dukonukofia Local Government Area.
According to the statement released on Saturday, the EFCC stated that:
“All were arrested while participating in the governorship election held on Saturday, November 8, 2025.,
“The arrested suspects would be charged to court upon conclusion of the investigations”, the statement added..
