The All Progressives Congress APC party Owerri Zone leadership stormed Regency Event center PortHarcourt Road Owerri Imo state Nigeria Monday to present score cards and work out possible modalities to give the Governor a successful landslide victory in the upcoming November Governorship election scheduled by INEC.
The make up of the meeting were the State Executive Members, Local Government Sole Administrators, Government Appiontees, Members of the House of Assembly, Serving Members of the National Assembly, All Local Government Chairmen, Deputy Chairmen, secretaries, Youth leaders and women Leaders, Representatives of Government Liaison Officers, All former IMC, Development Center Coordinators from Owerri Zone, as reported by 9News Nigeria.
The State APC Chairman, Sir Macdonald Ebere PhD, told the stakeholders of Owerri zone the readiness of the Party to deliver Governor Hope Uzodinma’s second term bid come November 11, 2023.
He however pleaded with the Party Leadership to galvanize the political structures at various respective local government areas and across the wards and chapters in Owerri Zone.
The State Party Chairman told the crowd that the zonal meeting was targetted at briefing Owerri zone stakeholders the extent All Progressives Congress has gone in readiness for governor’s upcoming campaigns and election.
Macdonald Ebere PhD highlighted the positive outcome of the APC meeting with Ndi Eze Owerri zone which included alliance with the State Charter of Equity.
He however added that the Governor will brief the Party Tuesday 27-06-2023 at the party secretariat complex Okigwe road.
He further alerted the party stakeholders to go to their various localities, chapters and wards to work towards the LGA visitation which will preceded the campaign proper.
He added that ward meetings should start immediately without further delay at a space of 3weeks from the time of this report together with the chapter meetings which will take place before the LGA tour by the Zonal leadership of APC.
In the meeting, there were feedback reports from various LGAs while the conveners assured the stakeholders of maximum support to push APC high in both our respective wards , local government areas and the state at large.
Deputy Governor Placid Njoku requested each and every APC faithful to be committed in whatever they will do to re-elect Governor Hope Uzodinma which will in turn favour Owerri zone to produce the next Governor as State charter of Equity demands.
The meeting featured creme de la creme of All Progressives Congress APC stalwarts in Owerri zone which included, Dgov Prof Placid Njoku, Chief Justus Ogu ( Owerri zone APC Chairman), Sir Macdonald Ebere PhD- APC State Chairman, Rt. Hon Kanayo Onyemaechi, Commissioner Noble Atulegwu, High Chief Kennedy Zanders, Chief Jerry Chukwueke, Chief T.OE EKECHI, Barr. Soronnadi Njoku, Rt. Hon. Nnanna Igbokwe, Chief Levi Oguike, Dr Fidel Onyeneke and other stakeholders too numerous to mention.
