Army Commander and 21 Soldiers killed in Borno terrorist attacks

Two days after the killing of 29 fishermen at Gada Gari fishing community in Bama Local Government Area of Borno, another armed terrorist suspected to be Boko Haram/ ISWAP have reportedly killed military Commander, two other senior military officers and 17 soldiers.

The incident took place at a military base in Mallam-Fatori, the headquarters of Abadam local government area of the State.

Just few weeks ago, a similar incident occurred when some terrorists invaded a military base in Sabon Gari community of Donboa local government area of the State, killing several soldiers including officers.

Reliable sources say the attackers who invaded the Mallam-Fatori military base wreaked havoc for several hours on Friday January 24, 2025, after which they dislodged the 149 Battalion in Mallam-Fatori as soldiers who survived the deadly attack fled to a safer place.
