The Arusha Initiative has launched an engaging virtual tour of the 85th Ordinary Session of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights.
The session, currently taking place in Banjul, The Gambia, brings together key stakeholders from across the continent, focuses on advancing discussions around human rights, governance and justice within the framework of the African Union’s Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights.
Through the virtual tour, the Arusha Initiative aims to offer audiences across Africa and beyond an opportunity to experience how the African Union sits and gain first-hand insights into the workings of the African Commission.
In a statement shared by the organization, Arusha Initiative reaffirmed its commitment to promoting human rights education, civic engagement and continental collaboration.
The interactive series is being hosted by Ikechukwu Uzoma, who will provide updates, interviews and reflections on the Commission’s deliberations and resolutions.
