Attack on Fayose: ‘We are back to military rule’ – ADP National Secretary

The National Secretary of the Action Democratic Party, ADP, Dr James Okoroma has described the reported attack on Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose as an indication that the country was still under military rule.

Speaking with DAILY POST on phone on Thursday, Dr Okoroma said “It simply means we have not made any progress democratically.

“I am ashamed and I find it difficult to defend it before my children; what kind of Nigerian leaders are we presenting to our children if a governor can be so molested even though he enjoy immunity as enshrined in our constitution.

“It is a shameful development. I think and want to believe that there is more to it than meet the eyes. If what happened on Wednesday is true then we are in trouble, it is an indication that 2019 will be war.

“President Buhari’s government should watch it because the outside world is watching what is happening and we will not stand and watch one man destroy our democracy; nobody should toy with our democracy.”

“If he uses the forces of cohesion to attack the sitting governor, it is a clear indication that we are under a dictatorship. It is a shame to the Nation and it ridicules us before the world”, he stated.
