Renowned cleric and former presidential aspirant, Pastor Tunde Bakare, has expressed optimism about Nigeria’s future, following a private meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking to journalists after the meeting at the Presidential Villa, Pastor Bakare declined to disclose the details of their conversation but emphasized the significance of divine guidance in national leadership.
“What transpired in my discussion with him (Tinubu) stayed with me and him.
“God guiding him and giving him wisdom will help this nation not slide or go down the drain.” Bakare stated.
Pastor Bakare, a vocal public commentator and advocate for good governance, has long emphasized the importance of purposeful leadership and moral accountability in public office.
Bakare’s visit and subsequent remarks are being interpreted by some as a gesture of goodwill and a call for unity and divine intervention in steering the country toward recovery and stability.
