Hon. Chief Charles Orie has sent his Bastille Day Message to all Imo people resident in France on this memorable national day celebrated annually.
In a letter communicated to Imolites in France and made available to 9News Nigeria, the Governorship aspirant in Imo State Nigeria has shown his unassailable wide reach in coordinating Imolites across the continents , particularly those resident in France on this memorable day.
Recall that Bastille Day is a French national holiday celebrated on July 14th every year. It commemorates the Storming of the Bastille, a pivotal event in the French Revolution that took place on July 14, 1789, 9News Nigeria reports.
In addition, the Bastille was a symbol of the absolute monarchy and the hated ancien régime. On that day, a mob of Parisians stormed the fortress-prison, marking a turning point in the French Revolution.

“Special greeting to all Imo State people in France as you join in the celebration of quartorze Juilliet ( 14th July ) The Bastille Day . Happy historical memories . Happy fête d’artifice.
“This is indeed a very memorable day for French people as it is one of the revolutionary days which is now a well celebrated national holiday.
“The beautiful fireworks at midnight (13th July ) lead to this national celebration with families, friends, and lovers of the French all mixed with solemn military parades and easygoing dancing and fireworks. I enjoin you all to continue to be law abiding in the city of lights and love.
“Remember to stay focused on learning and mastering the best practices as Diasporans, who will eventually support the progressive thinking Imolites to embrace best international practices for the good of our land .
