As Anambra 2021 guber election draws closer, Ifeanyi Ubah Students Support Group(IUSSG) a pro Ifeanyi Ubah Support Group domicile in all higher institutions in Anambra state and beyond on Saturday 5th June 2021 held a meeting with the Anambra state Young Progressive Party Youth directorate. The meeting was held at Awka the Anambra State Capital where student coordinators from different higher institutions in Anambra state attended.
Speaking during the meeting, the Anambra State YPP youth leader Egnr. Bernard Nwanya charged the student leaders to be committed to the journey to Agu Awka as a better Anambra with Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah will be of greater benefit to the younger Anambrarians. He rolled out several programs of the YPP youth directorate citing the need to integrate the students into such programs. The youth leader encouraged the students to buckle up and take strong part in ensuring YPP is the party to win the guber come November 2021.
In a support reaction, the National coordinator Ifeanyi Ubah Students Support Group Hon. Comr. Amobi Okonkwo appreciated the youth leader for seeing the need to integrate students into the party affairs. He promised that the student body will continue to propagate and promote the affairs of the party in their various campuses. He briefed the YPP youth directorate on the plans and strategies of the students support group and he assured the integration of the party ideology in achieving those plans.
The IUSSG National Director Contacts and Mobilization who doubles and the YPP student rep Comr. Igwe Ogbonnaya reaffirmed the Group’s commitment to ensuring YPP’s victory in the guber polls. He prayed the youth directorate to always put students welfare in their plans and programs.
Other student leaders who spoke during the meeting assured of their readiness to work for and with the party. Campus leaders who attended the meeting include, leaders from College of Health Obosi, Tansian University, Paul’s Universality, Unizik Awka/Nnewi,COOU Uli/Igbariam,Okopoly,Anspoly Mgbakwu,Open University Abagana and NUASS representatives from campuses outside Anambra state.
