Suspected Boko Haram terrorists have launched multiple attacks in four locations across Borno on Wednesday.
In these attacks, the terrorists burned down several military hardwares, looted food stuffs and killed a Nigerian Army General.
The first attack took place in Pulka and Bakin Ruwa, both in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno, at about 10PM.
During the attack in Pulka, the insurgents overran a military base, setting a number of hardware ablaze.
They also burnt construction machinery belonging to the state government and looted food items from two shops.
About two hours later, the terrorists launched another attacks in Benisheikh and Ngamdu towns, another Borno communities along Damaturu road.
In Benisheikh, they overran the 29 Task Force Brigade, destroying several military vehicles.
The Brigade Commander, Brigadier General O.O. Braimah paid the supreme price during this attack, which lasted for about three hours.

Also, they burnt some transit vehicles in the town.
The attack on Ngamdu and Bakin Ruwa attacks appears to have been a diversion tactics, aimed at preventing reinforcements from reaching Benisheikh and Pulka respectively.
At the time of filling this report, the military has yet to issue an official statement regarding the attacks.
