Indeed it was a sad day for the people of Idokpo, Ado local government area of Benue as a police officer & an “Okada” man were gruesomely killed, close to Idokpo market,Ado local Govt area of Benue state.

The Chairman of Ado local Govt,Hon James Oche, also shared the story on his Facebook wall:
He posted:
Today my heart is broken, broken in a hardly retrievable manner. Despite the efforts, peaceable and otherwise we made to check security concerns within our domain, today a police officer and a commercial cyclist were gruesomely murdered by suspected herdsmen/terrorists close to Idokpo market.
Pained as we are, we summoned an emergency security meeting of the Council and thereafter instructed the security agencies to trail the assailants so as to bring them to justice.
I reiterate our commitment to ensuring the security of the lives and properties of our people as we have always done.
I urge our people to, in remaining calm volunteer useful information that will help us clamp the last of these daredevils.
