Information reaching 9News Nigeria has it that the ruling All Progressives Party has finally returned the expression of interest and nomination forms to Bola Tinubu, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Akinwumi Adesina, Rotimi Amaechi, Senate President Ahmad Lawan and 20 other presidential aspirants contesting under our the ruling party.
According to the information released on the social media account of an APC spokesperson, Bashir Ahmad, 9News Nigeria gathered that: about 25 presidential aspirants who had already declared expression of interest and purchased N100 Million nomination forms to contest in the 2023 presidential elections under the APC were involved in the showdown.
The statement reads: “Bola Tinubu, Yemi Osinbajo, Akin Adesina, Rotimi Amaechi, Ahmad Lawan and 20 other presidential aspirants contesting under our great party, the APC returned their expression of interest and nomination forms.”
Apart from governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, 9News Nigeria has not yet been able to get the information of other aspirants whose expression of interest and nomination forms were returned in this latest move of candidate-pruning in the All Progressives Party ahead of the party primaries.
