The seminary community, Michael The Archangel Minor Seminary, Ochobo Community, Catholic Diocese of Otukpo and indeed the whole of Benue State has been thrown into turmoil following the abduction of Rev Fr David Echioda who is the vice Rector of the seminary.
Fr David was abducted on his way home from Seminary Drive, a source told Benue Reporters. The source also said that the kidnappers had demanded 10 Million naira as ransome.
Until the time of filing this report, the identity of the kidnappers is yet unknown. But a lot of speculations have said that it could be some hoodlums from the neighboring communities or herdsmen invaders.
Christians and indeed well meaning Nigerians should pray for the safe return of the priest.
