Breaking news reaching 9News Nigeria just now has it that the former Oyo state governor Isiaka Abiola Ajimobi is dead.
According to the source that broke the news to 9News Nigeria, Ajimobi died in hospital in Lagos state. The cause of his death was not yet confirmed but the source told 9News Nigeria that the former Oyo state governor had died of health complication induced by Covid-19 infections.
9News Nigeria was not able to confirm the news from Ajimobi’s family nor his political allies.
However, a tweet on social media has attested to the information of the death of Abiola Ajimobi.
If the news is true, Ajimobi was 70 years old before his death.
In further confirmation of the news, 9News Nigeria correspondent has made calls to the former governors Media Assistant whose phone was not open.
