The Adamawa State Police Command has confirmed the story of how eight men raped a woman at the state capital, Yola.
The woman was said to have been deceived into the men’s den by her own friend, who is now being held as the sole female member of a 9-man rape gang.
The state police command said Thursday that it had arrested five members of the gang, including the female, while four were at large.
The five are suspected to be part of a nine-member gang that had allegedly taken part in the rape of a 33-year-old lady in a setup said to have been arranged by the lady’s own friend, the female suspect.
It was gathered Thursday that the female suspect, 30-year-old Zainab Jafaru, was part of the 9-member rape gang
The Adamawa State Police spokesman, DSP Suleiman Nguroje, confirmed Thursday that the 33-year-old victim was raped by the eight men one by one after her friend; 30-year-old Zainab Jafaru took her to the men and disappeared.
