A very disturbing reports reaching 9News Nigeria newsroom says another building has collapsed in Lagos Island.
Many people are reportedly trapped in the rubbles.
The sad incident happened at 57, Egerton Square, Alakoro Area, Oke-Arin, Lagos Island.
The development is coming barely one week after another building collapsed at Ita Faji, Lagos Island, killing 20 persons, including school children, while more than 40 people sustained injuries.
Reacting to the development a resident in the area said:
“Are we still going to continue calling on God to help us do the needful?
“It is no news that most of the high rise buildings on the Island were not initially designed to be so. They were either bungalows or one-storey buildings.
“As a matter of urgency, those high rise buildings on the Island and every part of Lagos state should be put under scrutiny by the ministry in charge.
