Jolene Mckee and her husband Andrew from Brooklyn, New York, have had three consecutive sets of twins – taking their family to eight.
This is breaking indeed as they have made a family of eight after recently welcoming their third set of twins, Aiden and Jaiden, who are now three months old.
Recall that she earlier had a miscarriage three months after her first pregnancy and since then the gift of pregnancy has continued to shine upon her.
The high point of this story is that non of these twins is identical but very healthy living in their small apartment in New York. Both of them knew each other when it seems nothing was going good but in the process of destined Marital life, both are assumed to be the happiest twin parents of the year.
The mother-of-six says it has been a blessing to get six children from three pregnancies and since twins are all that they know, she has felt more like a professional in twin bearing each time.
However, because the couple is quite young, people don’t believe all their children can be theirs, with Jolene saying: ‘They don’t understand how we can have so many kids and when we explain the story they are in disbelief. They find it fascinating.’
How the family manage is certainly fascinating, and Jolene puts it down to some strict planning – as well as simply making time to enjoy being together.
She said: ‘Organisation is challenging with six kids and it takes a lot to enforce a good schedule. It’s sometimes hard to keep up with all the laundry too, I do at least six loads of washing each week. I’m a happy mother of sets of twins.
The pro twin mother hinted to our New York correspondent that the reason for her having so many sets of twins is due to her having an overactive uterus, which she says causes her to drop two eggs at a time.
The busy mum said: ‘I just accepted that this is what was meant for me and I love it.
“Each child has their own different personalities and although they’re twins they each have their own little buddies.
‘My favourite thing is watching them grow and progress. It really warms my heart, She maintained.
The mum says it has been a blessing to get six children from three pregnancies, and since twins are all that the couple know, they have felt more like pros each time.
Jolene said: ‘I never envisioned myself with a big family. I thought I’d only have maybe one or two kids.
But it is such a blessing that I have had six babies from just three pregnancies.
‘When I discovered I was pregnant with twins for the third time, I just fully accepted that this must be what I was appointed to do.’
She also says that ‘it is not easy but it worked out perfectly’ that she had GIRL TWINS, BOY TWINS, and BOY- GIRL TWINS, giving them ‘all three combinations’.
In furtherance to our investigation on how common twins could be, specialists told us that it is one in 30 births.
Adding that the likelihood of having twins is determined by a number of factors, including genetic history and whether fertility treatment is used, the BBC puts the odds of two sets of twins at 12,500 to one, and the odds of having three sets at 1.4 million to one.
