The Concerned youths of Ukpo has passed a vote of no confidence on their Youth leader, Mr. Ilokolobia Cornelius Chiagozie, accusing him of sidelining members of his executives and other members of the community on their affairs in the state, therefore creating a divisive leadership attribute.
The Youths in their numbers met in Irueze Quadrangle Ukpo, on Thursday, March 25, 2021, and part of the outcome of the meeting was to forward a letter to His Royal Majesty, Igwe Dr. Robert C. Eze, detailing the Many “sins” of Ilokolobia Cornelius Chiagozie.
In a letter dated March 25, 2021, and addressed to His Royal Majesty, Igwe Dr. Robert C. Eze and also copied to the President General Ukpo Improvement Union; signed by 56 members of the Youth forum.
In a statement released by the Youths forum, they said:
“We concerned members of youth whose names and signatures appear below, having reviewed the activities of Ilokolobia, Cornelius Chiagozie since his assumption of office as the Youth leader of Ukpo, hereby pass a VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE on him and call for his immediate removal.”
“It is on record that his divisive leadership attributes had completely polarized the Youth body of the community. These developments have given rise to sundry crimes and criminalities. The call for his immediate removal and replacement with a neutral person from the same isiekwulu village is the only thing that can reunite every Ukpo Youth again.”
“For the past three months, Ukpo Youths have not had their regular monthly meetings. Ukpo need Peace and the Youth is expected to support your majesty in promoting Peace and ensuring security of the town given our present predicament”
“Thank you your Majesty for your anticipated response”, they added.
