The National Assembly has postponed its plenary sessions until July 22 as a tribute to late Buhari.
Kamoru Ogunlana, the clerk of the national assembly, shared the news through a statement released on Monday.
He said, “I am directed by the president of the senate and the speaker of the house of representatives to inform all members of the national assembly and the general public that all legislative activities are hereby suspended immediately until Tuesday, 22 July, 2025.”
Meanwhile, all eyes are looking towards the burial procession of the late Nigerian president who died in United Kingdom mid Sunday , after a brief illness.
The presidential delegation arrived London earlier Monday morning and will depart with the remains of late Buhari to Nigeria. His burial will likely be held immediately at his arrival back home as 9News Nigeria gathered.
The Honour given to late Buhari is due because of his national status and social standing as the former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
