The Lagos State Police has reportedly released a former governorship aspirant of the state, Mr Babatunde Gbadamosi after he was arrested on Monday for violating the stay-at-home order of the Federal Government to curb the spread of the deadly Corona Virus pandemic.
Mr Babatunde had attended a birthday house party organized by Nollywood Actress, Funke Akindele-Bello for her husband, Abdulrasheed Bello (aka JCC Skillz) last weekend at Amen Estate, Ibeju Lekki, Lagos. Following social media uproars against the action, the JENIFA’S DIARY star was subsequently arrested alongside her husband and charged to court, yesterday Monday, 6th April.
9News Nigeria reported that a Lagos Magistrate Court in its judgement sentenced the actress and her husband, after they pleaded guilty to the crime, to 14 days Community Service in a place to be determined by the state, with a fine of N100,000 each.
Meanwhile, Mr Babatunde Gbadamosi, who was earlier detained after being spotted in a viral video at the birthday party, is said to have been released today.
