BREAKING: President, Tinubu Appoints Mohammed Umar as EFCC Chairman

Mr. Mohammed Umar is now the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Umar has been directed by President Bola Tinubu to take over the affairs of the commission being the Director of Operations after the suspension of Abdulrasheed Bawa as its Chairman.

On Wednesday evening, President Tinubu suspends the EFCC Chairman indefinitely following what is described as weighty allegations of abuse of office.

Hours into his suspension, Bawa had a meeting with the President today at the State House
