Imo state governor has appointed Professor U.U Chukwumaeze as Acting Vice Chancellor, VC of Imo state university Owerri.
His appointment takes Immediate effect as approved by the Governing Council which is their fundamental responsibility to appoint on behalf of NUC.
It is therefore agreed that when a GOVERNOR of a state appoints, the appointee will be on acting capacity pending when the Senate or National University Commission NUC authenticate and confirms the appointment.
9News Nigeria reports that the appointment of Professor Chukwumaeze at the time of this report was an outcome of the council’s meeting on the pressing need to replace the former.
Recall that Uchefula U Chukwumaeze, is a professor of law, Imo State University, Owerri. Formally, Dean of Law and Dean School of Postgraduate Studies before this recent appointment by GOVERNOR Hope Uzodinma.
