Nationwide News understands that retired global sprint great, the legendary Usain Bolt, has contracted the Covid-19 virus.
Bolt took a Covid-19 test a few days ago and returned the positive yesterday.
The retired sprinter is to proceed into isolation as he recovers from the virus.
It’s not immediately clear whether Bolt is experiencing any symptoms connected with the virus.
COVID-19 has symptoms similar to the influenza virus. It affects different people in different ways.
Most infected people will develop mild to moderate illness and recover without hospitalization.
Bolt is widely recognized as the greatest sprinter to have ever lived.
He’s among the most prominent global figures to have contracted the Covid-19 virus as the pandemic continues to spread across the globe.
With Bolt having contracted the virus this means that a host of associates and friends are to be tested for Covid-19 given that the multiple world record holder attended a surprise party recently which was organized in commemoration of his birthday.
Manchester City star, Jamaica’s Raheem Sterling along with Reggae Boy and Bayern Bayern Leverkusen Winger, Leon Bailey, also attended the party.
Up to news time, several phone calls, text messages and an email sent by our news center to Bolt’s Manager, Nugent Walker, were not responded to.
