Unknown gunmen as at about 9:30am abducted 40 worshippers of Bege Baptist church,Madala,Buruku Baringi Road,Chikun local government area Kaduna State during the Sunday service.
Speaking to News Men, the CAN Chairman says that,the attackers came in their numbers, Shoting sporadically.They went away with 40 Persons who were worshipping in the church but along the way 15 persons manage to escape leaving behind 25 persons.
Meanwhile, he said efforts are being made to get in contact with the abductors concerning the remaining people and prayed that the abductors would be merciful and release the remaining 25 back to their families.
Some of the church members said the attack was more like a horrifying film because the bandits came in their numbers and operated unhindered because they were heavily armed.
Kaduna State government and the police command were yet to issue any official statement on the incident and when contacted, the state police spokesman, DSP Mohammed Jalige, did not respond to his missed calls as at the time of filing the report.
