Information reaching us that the ongoing 20 20-story hotel building construction in Asaba Delta State collapsed.

An eyewitness to our correspondent that they suddenly heard a heavy loud sound while the workers were engaged in the construction work.

The eyewitness, who identified herself as Madam Okei Onyinye said about eight persons sustained serious injuries and were rushed to the nearby hospital by their colleagues.

Speaking with journalists after inspecting the building, the state commissioner for Urban Renewal, Hon Michael Anoka, said the incident was a result of a building, defect.
